An illustration done early on in development exploring the transformation of Savathun through a baptism of sorts. As we were ramping up our ideation phase for this release, I kept seeing this image of Savathun, bleached white with a dark liquid escaping from her mouth as she wades through the swamp. A visual representation of her relationship with light and dark. This was done way before we started to visualize the final concept for Savathun and was primarily used as a tone or mood piece. It was a nice surprise to see a few cuts of this scene make it into the trailers and cinematics.

This early design of Savathun was based on Piotr Jabłoński's design in the Grimoire Anthology to keep it consistent with the lore. I believe we're still using it to represent her original form before she transformed with the light which you see in the final release.
